Solution

Step 1: Converting given fraction into equivalent fractions.

To convert them in equivalent fraction we have to make -5-6 and 23-24 in standard form.

23-24=-2324 (Multiplying numerator and denominator by -1)

And -5-6=56 (minus-minus sine get canceled)

So, LCM of 6,12,18 and 24 is 72.

Now convert the given rational numbers in equivalent fraction with denominator 30.

5×126×12=6072,11×612×6=6672,-17×418×4=-6872

and -23×324×3=-6972

Step 2: Comparing the numerator of 6072,6672,-6872,-6972

We know ascending order means to arrange numbers in increasing order, that is, from smallest to largest and fractions with smaller numerators are smaller.

Here, -69<-68<60<66

so, -6972<-6872<6072<6672

Hence, arrangement of given fractions in ascending order is 23-24<-1718<-5-6<1112.
