Solution

The correct option is C Ni(CO)4,K2[Ni(CN)4],K2[NiF6]
Let the oxidation number of Ni be x.
Oxidation number of K=+1, CN=F=1 and of CO=0.
(A) K2[Ni(CN)4]: 2×1+x+4×(1)=0
2+x4=0 or x=+2
(B) K2[NiF6]: 2×1+x+6×(1)=0
2+x6=0 or x=+4
(C) Ni(CO)4]: x+4×0=0
x+0=0 or x=0
thus the increasing order of oxidation state of Ni is 0<+2<+4 in:
Ni(CO)4<K2[Ni(CN)4]<K2[NiF6]
