Solution

Sound is collected by pinna and directed towards eardrum through ear canal. The eardrum vibrates and trasmits vibrations to the ear ossicles (hammer, anvil and stirrup). These ossicles amplify the vibrations and transmit them to cochlea present in the inner ear. Cochlea converts sound vibrations into electrical signals which are carried by auditory nerve to brain.
