Arrange the following steps occurring in a water treatment plant in the way they occur.
Filtration, Coagulation, Chlorination, Aeration.
Aeration, Coagulation, Chlorination, Filtration.
Wastewater treatment follows six steps: Aeration, coagulation, clariflocculation, filtration, chlorination and storage. During aeration, oxygen is added to water. During coagulation, alum is added due to which sedimentation of solid waste occurs. Then lime is added to regulate the pH. After the coagulation, the process called clariflocculation occurs in which water is fed into filters. Then filtration occurs in which impurities are filtered out. The during the process called chlorination, water is sterilised by adding chlorine tablets or bleaching powder. Then the purified water is stored.
