Solution

We have to arrange the numbers from smallest to largest (i.e. in ascending order)

Step I: Comparing the numbers according to their number of digits.

Here, the numbers are not having equal number of digits.

The number 64,15,23,453 has 9 digits.

The number 2,09,62,000 has 8 digits.

The number 11,00,83,000 has 9 digits.

The number 9,53,654 has 6 digits.

The number having the least digits is the smallest of all numbers.

Hence, 9,53,654 is the smallest number.

The second smallest number will be 2,09,62,000.

So, 9,53,654<2,09,62,000…………………………..i.

Step II: Comparing the left-most digits of the numbers having an equal number of digits.

Now, the remaining two numbers 64,15,23,453;11,00,83,000 have the same number of digits.

So, we will compare the left-most digit.

The left-most digit is 6 for the number 64,15,23,453 and it is 1 for the number 11,00,83,000.

As, 1<6.

So, 11,00,83,000<64,15,23,453……………ii

Also, 2,09,62,000<11,00,83,000……..iii

Step III: Write the ascending order.

From i, ii and iii,

9,53,654<2,09,62,000<11,00,83,000<64,15,23,453.

Therefore, the ascending order (smallest to largest) is 9,53,654;2,09,62,000;11,00,83,000;64,15,23,453.
