Paper consists of cellulose and lignin fibres. The steps involved in the manufacturing of paper are:

1. Pulping- It involves the soaking of wood chips in chemicals, which leads to the formation of pulp.

2. Mixing additives- The pulp formed contains some fibrous materials, which is removed during this process. Dyes are added to this mixture to give colour to the paper.

3. Drying- The mixture is pressed by passing it through the rollers and then dried.

4. Winding/Finishing- Finally, the dried papers are rolled on the reels.
