Solution
The harvested sugarcane is washed and cut into smaller pieces. These are then crushed using a roller. The juice obtained is sent to the separator where the cane fibers are removed. The juice is then boiled and allowed to cool. This is followed by crystallisation during which sugar crystals are added to the mixture to catalyse the process. The crystals are the final product which can be further refined to obtain fine sugar.
