Let's consider the general quadratic equation ax2+bx+c=0 .

We follow the steps to solve this as below :

1. Make a=1 :

For that, divide both the sides of the equation by 'a'.

2. Add and subtract (b2a)2:

Do addition and subtraction of (b2a)2 on the left side of the equation.

3. Complete the square :

Manipulate the expression on the left side so that we should have square form (Algebraic identity form).

4. Find the roots:

Solve the simplified quadratic equation.
