Solution

Matter consists of tiny particles and they have a force of attraction between them.

The order of interparticle force of attraction can be arranged as: Solid > Liquid > Gas

Iron rod and chalk are solids, chocolate syrup is a liquid while hydrogen is a gas.
Therefore, the order of interparticle force of attraction can be arranged as: Iron rod and chalk > Chocolate syrup > Hydrogen
  • On comparing iron rod and chalk, iron rod is very difficult to be broken down while chalk breaks easily. This shows that iron rod has stronger interparticle force of attraction than chalk.
  • Therefore, the order of interparticle force of attraction can be arranged as: Iron rod > Chalk > Chocolate syrup > Hydrogen
