Solution

The correct option is C SAN
A mass of neuromuscular tissue called the sinoatrial node (SAN) is found in the wall of the right atrium near the opening of the superior vena cava (upper right corner of the right atrium). The SAN is responsible for the generation of action potential which causes the atria to contract. Sometimes the SAN might get damaged or defective. This can cause the heart to function improperly. In such a case, the surgical grafting of an artificial pacemaker in the chest of the ailing patient helps to restore and maintain the normal heart beat.
