Let Arvind sold his watch in $Rs.x$

Now $90\%\times CP=x⟹CP=\frac{x\times 100}{90}$

If he sold it for $Rs.54$ more, he would have $8\%$ profit

So, $108\%\times CP=x+54$

$⟹\frac{108}{100}\times \frac{x\times 100}{90}=x+54$

$⟹x=\frac{5400}{20}⟹x=270$

Hence Arvind sold his watch in $Rs.270$
