Arya has brought two sandwiches, one made of vegetable and one of jam. The other two boys have not brought their lunch. So, the two sandwiches are to be distributed among three people.

(a) Arya should divide each sandwich into three equal parts. Each person will get a single part (out of the three equal parts) from each of the sandwiches.The fraction/part(of whole) of sandwiches each person will get ,( $1\times \frac{1}{3}=\frac{1}{3}$)

(b) Each boy will receive a single part (out of the three equal parts) from the each of the sandwiches.

The fraction/part(of whole) of sandwich each boy will get $=(1\times \frac{1}{3}=\frac{1}{3}$
