acceleration of any body is total force acting on him divided by mass of the body.
Here total force acting is gravitational force acting vertically downward and centripetal acceleration acting perpendicular away from the axis of rotation.
Earth revolves taking poles as axis so radius of the revolution increases as the body moves towards equators, so increases the centripetal force [Mω2R]. Hence net force acting on the body decreases so decreases its weight m.g, because g decreases.
