Angular velocity of ring →ω=−2^krad/s, from right hand thumb rule
Velocity of COM of the ring, −→VO=4^im/s
For the velocity of point C on ring, −→VC=−→VO+→VCO...(i)
Here, →VCO=→ω×→rCO...(ii) →rCO=−2^i (it represents position vector of C w.r.t centre O) ⇒→VCO=(−2^k)×(−2^i) =4(^k×^i)=4^j
Substituting in Eq (i), −→VC=4(^i+^j)m/s ∴|−→VC|=√42+42=4√2m/s
