Question

as the altitude of a body is increased from the surface of Earth then how do its mass and weight get affected ?

Open in App
Solution

Mass is constant, so it will not get effected. It will remain same.

The weight of a body is the force by which earth pull the body. And the force (and hence acceleration due to gravity g) decreases with the height. So if height increases the the weight will be reduced.
