Question

As the angle between two plane mirrors decreases, the number of images increases. Do you agree? If the angle is given, how will you find the number of images without performing an experiment?

Solution

The number of images formed between two plane mirror is indirectly proportional to the angle between them. That's why when the angle between the mirror decreases, the number of images formed increases.

The number of images formed by two plane mirror kept at an angle of 'θ' is given by the formula, n=360°θ-1

Hence, if the angle between the mirrors is given, we can calculate the number of images without performing the experiment.
