Question

As the temperature of a gas increases, the velocity of the particle_______.

Open in App
Solution

According to the kinetic theory of gases if we are increasing the temperature of gas the average kinetic energy of the gaseous molecules will increase so velocity will be increased.

A temperature is a form of energy that will be converted into kinetic energy when it will be in excess of the gaseous molecules hence the velocity will increase and due to the increased velocity the no. of collisions will also increase and pressure will also increase.
