Both the girls have given the correct statements regarding factors and multiples. Factors are numbers that we multiply together to obtain another number whereas multiple is the result of multiplying a number by an integer.
Let us take an example of number 12 to understand:
Factors of 12 = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12 (the factors are always less than or equal to the number)
Multiples of 12 = 12, 24, 36......(the multiples of a number is greater than or equal to the number)

As we can see that factors of a number is finite but multiples of a number can be infinite.
