Solution
The stomach is a muscular bag.
Being made of muscles, it is easily stretchable.
So although normally, a feeling of "fullness" would set in on consuming about one liter of food ( Well, for most people ;)), the stomach can hold a lot more than that because of it's elasticity.
Normally- About 1.5- 2 liters
Maximum capacity- 3-4 liters.
Stomach volumes differ from person to person, some people can just eat a lot because their systems have made the necessary minor changes to adapt to the habit.
When the stomach is empty- it's volume is only 0.08 L ( nearly 40 times less) which points at it's enormous elasticity.
