Ashish was driving his car at certain speed. If he increases speed of his car by 5 km/hr, he covers 100 km in 4 hours. At what speed (km/hr) was he driving the car?

The correct option is A 20
Given: Distance = 100 km and time = 4 hour
Let Ashish was driving the car at x km/hr.
Speed of car after increasing the speed by 5 km/hr = (x + 5) km/hr

We know that
Distance = Speed × Time
100 = (x+ 5) × 4
100 = 4x + 20
Transfer 20 to the left side
80 = 4x
Divide both the sides by 4
x = 20
Hence, Ashish was driving the car at 20 km/hr.
