The reactions are given below:
2MnO4+5H2C2O42Mn2++10CO2+8H2O
MnO4+5Fe2++8H+5Fe3++Mn2++4H2O
Thus, 5 mol of FeC2O4 is oxidized by 3 mol of MnO4 in acidic medium.
So, 1 mol of FeC2O4 is oxidized by 0.6 mol of MnO4 in acidic medium.
Thus, both assertion and reason are correct and reason is the correct explanation for assertion.
