The correct option is B Both Assertion and Reason are correct but Reason is not the correct explanation for Assertion
Due to the moving magnet the flux linked with the conductive surface changes, and hence eddy currents are produced in the conductive surface .The eddy currents are so produced so as to decrease the change in flux and hence they oppose the motion of magnet which is the cause of flux change.

Eddy currents generate heat and hence dissipate energy.

Assertion and Reason are both correct but Reason does not explain Assertion.
