The correct option is A Both Assertion and Reason are correct and Reason is the correct explanation for Assertion
In rounding off the number, the digit to be dropped is checke and if it is less than 5 then the preceeding digit is not changed and simply the digit is removed.

Ex: 2.7432.74

Whereas if the digit is greater than % then after removing the digit, the preceeding digit is increased by 1.

Ex: 2.7462.75

So, the assertion and reason both are correct and reason is the correct explanation for assertion.
