We know,
L=r×P=rperp.P

In this case ,

As velocity is constant, P=constant.
And the particle moves in such a way that the perpendicular distance from
the origin isn't disturbed.

Hence, L remains undisturbed as neither perpendicular distance of particle w.r.t origin changes nor the momentum changes.

Hence assertion is correct and reason is the correct explanation of the assertion.

Option A is correct answer.
