Solution

The correct option is D

Both ‘A’ and ‘R’ are false.

The labour movement suffered a major setback partially due to government offensive and partially due to shift in stance of the communist – left wing of AITUC. Communist reversed their policy of anything themselves with and working within mainstream of national movement (Thus ‘R’ is incorrect) communist got isolated within AITUC and were thrown out in the split of 1931. Therefore ‘A’ is also incorrect.
