After drinking, alcohol (ethyl alcohol) is changed into acetaldehyde by the enzyme alcoholic dehydrogenase. The acetaldehyde is then converted into acetate by the enzyme acetaldehyde dehydrogenase. Acetate is finally converted to carbon dioxide and water. About 90% of the alcohol absorbed is eliminated by body through the metabolic processes in liver. Hence, both assertion and reason are wrong.
So, the correct answer is 'Both Assertion and Reason are incorrect'.
