Solution

The correct option is B Both Assertion and Reason are correct but Reason is not the correct explanation for Assertion
Let z=x+iy
Consider the equation
|z+1z1|=2
Or
|z+1||z1|=2
Or
|z+1|=2|z1|
|z+1|2+4|z1|2
(x+1)2+(y)2=4[(x1)2+y2]
x2+2x+1+y2=4x28x+4+4y2
3x2+3y210x+3=0
x2+y210x3+1=0
(x5x3)2+y2259+1=0
(x53)2+y2=169
Or
(x53)2+y2=(43)2
Hence centre is at z=53+0i and radius is 43 units.
simillarly for the reason we will get radius = 4/3
