Colloidal particles are bigger aggregates, the number of particles in a colloidal solution is comparatively small as compared to a true solution.

Thus, the values of all the colligative properties (relative lowering in vapour pressure, depression in freezing point, elevation in boiling point and osmotic pressure) are of small order as compared to values shown by a true solution with the same concentration.

Hence, assertion and reason both are correct but reason does not explain assertion.
