Francis Crick’s reasoned presence of small nucleic acid as an adaptor to translate the 4-letter language of nucleic acids into the 20-letter language of proteins. For the purpose, one part of the adaptor molecule binds to a specific amino acid and another part identify the amino acid coding nucleotide sequence in mRNA. As we know that tRNA adaptor “translates” the nucleotide sequence of an mRNA into the amino acid sequence of a polypeptide.
