e=1+(ba)2
e2=1+b2a2b2=a2(e21)
Reason (R) is true
Now 3x26y2=18x26y23=1
which is of form x2a2y2b2=1 where a2=6,b2=3
Length of transverse axis =2b=23 and Length of conjugate axis =2a=26
e=1+a2b2=1+63=3
Thus both Assertion and Reason are true but Assertion is not following Reason.
Hence, option 'B' is correct.
