Diarrhoeal diseases can be caused by a variety of bacterial, viral and parasitic organisms. The infection spreads through contaminated food or water or due to poor hygiene. Bacterial like Escherichia coli, Shigelia species, Salmonella species are responsible for diarrhoeal diseases. During diarrhoea, lots of fluid is lost from the body. It results in the dehydration. Adequate supply of fluids and electrolytes should be ensured in order to overcome the dehydration. However, in the given question, reason is not the correct explanation for assertion.
