For the confirmation of silver ion use first use iodide solution which converts the silver ion to silver iodide,

i.e. $A{g}^{+}+I^{+}⟶AgI$
Now we add $NaOH$ solution to it,

i.e. $AgI+NaOH⟶NaI+A{g}_{2}O+H_{2}O$

Also, $silver$ $oxide\left(A{g}_{2}O\right)$ is formed which is fine black or brown powder.
