Aldehyde group in Dglucose is not completely free, it is involved in acetal formation with the hydroxyl group at C5 to give cyclic structure to it due to which glucose does not gives all the reactions of an aldehydic group and hence does not form hydrogen sulphite addition product with sodium bisulphate.
Hence, both Assertion and Reason are incorrect.
