Reason is true as

In ABCA+B+C=π

tanA=tan(π(B+C))=tan(B+C)

tanA=tanB+tanCtanBtanC1.....(1)

Assertion

If A is obtuse and B,C are acute

tanA<0 and tanB,tanC>0

So from (1) we get

tanBtanC<1

hence assertion is false.
