Forward resistance $R_{f} = \frac{Δ V_{f}}{Δ I_{f}}$
Change in forward voltage $Δ V_{f} = 2 - 0.5 = 1.5$ $V$
Change in forward current $Δ I_{f} = 1.5$ mA $= 1.5 \times 10^{- 3}$ A
$∴$ $R_{f} = \frac{1.5}{1.5 \times 10^{- 3}} = 1000 Ω$
Hence the assertion statement is incorrect whereas the reason statement is correct.
