Solution

The correct option is A Both Assertion and Reason are correct and Reason is the correct explanation for Assertion
Let z1=a+ib&z2=c+id
z1+z2=a+ib+c+id=a+c+i(b+d)
Since z1+z2 is real, therefore b+d=0
b=d
z1z2=(a+ib)(c+id)=acbd+i(bc+ad)
Since z1z2 is real, therefore bc+ad=0
b=dc=a
z2=aibz1=¯z2
Since, z1z2 is real
arg(z1z2)=0
