Question

Assertion :In a plane projectile motion, the angle between instantaneous velocity vector and acceleration vector can be anything between 0 or π (excluding the limiting case). Reason: In plane to plane projectile motion, acceleration vector is always pointing vertical downwards. (neglect air friction).

Solution

The correct option is B Both Assertion and Reason are correct but Reason is not the correct explanation for Assertion
From the path equation of projectile motion, we know the range is θϵ(0,π)
and during whole projectile, only one acceleration is working (g, gravity).
So both assertion and reason is correct.
But there are no relation between them.
So, option B is correct.
