In Young's double slit experiment, position of nth order bright fringe is given by yn=nDλd
Thus the fringe width of bright fringe =yn+1yn=Dλd which is independent of n.
Similarly for dark fringe, position of mth order fringe is given by ym=(m+12)λ(Dd)
Thus the fringe width of dark fringe =ym+1ym=Dλd which is independent of m.
