In vertical circular motion, there is always a downward acceleration of g due to gravity. The acceleration of bob at point 'A' is resultant of tangential and radial acceleration. This net acceleration can be broken down in horizontal and vertical components and thus it would always be more than g which is a compulsory vertical downward component.
