Juxtaglomerular apparatus is formed by the modification in DCT and afferent arteriole at the location of their contact .
JGA consists of Juxtaglomerular cells + macula dens + Mesangial cells.
When the blood volume decreases, blood pressure decreases resulting in the lowering of GFR. Fall in the GFR can activate the JG cells to release renin which can stimulate the glomerular blood flow and there by GFR back to normal.
