Mn has a higher number of unpaired electrons (5) than Fe(4) in atomic state.
Greater is the number of unpaired greater is the melting point.
Hence, the melting point of Mn should be higher than that of Fe.
But, the melting point of Mn is less than that of Fe. This is probably due to the complicated lattice structure of manganese.
Thus, Assertion is incorrect but Reason is correct.
