Mohammad -bin-Tughlaq was the Sultan of Delhi from 1325 to 1351. From his accession to the throne in 1325 until his death in 1351, Muhammad contended with 22 rebellions, pursuing his policies, consistently and ruthlessly. He left Delhi for two years, lived in a camp called Swarga - dwari. This was because at that time Delhi was ravaged by a form of plague(bubonic) and many people died. It wiped almost half of Sultan's army. The plague attacked the city in 1334.
