Noble gases have no dipole moment, so there is no dipole-dipole attraction between the molecules (and they obviously lack stronger intermolecular forces such as ion-ion and hydrogen bonding). The only attractive force between noble gas atoms is a relativelY weak dispersion force. Thus, the temperature of the gas must be made very low (the atoms slowed down a lot) before these forces are enough to restrain the motion of the atoms.
