1 gram atom of any substance corresponds to mass of one mole of the substance.Hence one mole of sodium represents mass of 1 mole of sodium atoms which is 23 grams.

Being monoatomic element Sodium exists in elemental form, it dosen't exist in the form of molecule of sodium,so one gram atoms of sodium is same as one gram molecule of sodium.
