In equimolar solution, HCl being strong acid dissociate more and produces more proton in comparison to CH3COOH. So the pH of the hydrochloric acid solution is less than the pH of acetic acid.

Hydrochloric acid will give more protons as compared to acetic acid because it is stronger acid hence reason is incorrect.

So the correct answer is C.
