Solution

The correct option is C Assertion is correct but Reason is incorrect
Assertion:
Diffraction is the bending of waves around obstacles and openings. The amount of diffraction increases with increasing wavelength. The wavelength of radio waves is much larger than the size of the buildings. As the amount of diffraction increases with the increasing wavelength so radio waves are diffracted by buildings.

Reason:
The high wavelength of the Radio waves corresponds to the low energy of the waves as energy is inversely proportional to the wavelength.
E=hcλ
So, the radio waves are low energy waves.

Thus, Assertion is correct but Reason is incorrect.
Option (C) is correct.
