M1 , N1 and R1 indicate the initial position of mirror, initial normal and initial direction of reflected light ray respectively. M2 , N2 and R2 indicate the final position of mirror, final normal and final direction of reflected light ray respectively.
From figure it is clear that ∠ ABC = 2φ + δ = 2(φ + θ ) or δ = 2θ.
