The correct option is B Both Assertion and Reason are correct but Reason is not the correct explanation for Assertion
Statement-1 is true as x2+y2=9+4 is the equation of the director circle of the ellipse x29+y24=1, which is the locus of the point of intersection of the tangents to the ellipse which are at right angles.
Statement-2 is also true as x2+y2=13 is the circle on the major axis of the ellipse as diameter and hence by definition is the auxiliary circle but Statement-1 does not follow from Statement-2.
