Divide the above equation by 6 we get
Area of the ellipse=x23+x22=1
is π32=3.14×6=7.8(approx.)sq.unit,
The area bounded by 2|x|+3|y|6 is
4×12×3×2=12.sq.unit.
and length of major axis =26<29=9+9
Hence, the assertion is incorrect but reason is correct.
