For equivalent thermal conductivity, the relation is
1KR=1K1+1K2; If K1=K2=K
1KR=1K+1K=2KKR=K2
Which is less than K
If K1>K2 suppose K1=K2+x
1K=1K1+1K2=K2+K1K1K2
1K=K2+K2+x(K2+x)K2 K=K22+K2x2K2+x
Now K2K=K2K22+K2x2K2+x
=K22+K2xK22K2x2K2+x
=K222K2+x= Positive
So, K2>K, so the value of K is smaller than K2 and K1
